Energy Co-Oplight bulb

By harnessing the power of "bulk" purchasing, the Chamber energy cooperative provides Chamber members with long term budget stability and eliminates the volatility of the market for companies. The cooperative program allows us to obtain better electricity and natural gas prices collectively than any one company can do individually.

piggy bankThe Champaign County Chamber is now accepting applications for a new electricity co-op group and a new natural gas co-op group. An informational session to learn more about how the co-op works and how it can save your business money will be held at noon on Tuesday, March 9, 2010, at the Chamber office. The program will last approximately an hour and will include information on both gas and electricity. Contact Norma Wesley at 531.4669 or NormaW@champaigncounty.org to reserve a seat in this session.

If your business is currently in one of the Chamber’s electricity co-ops that expire in June or July 2010 and you haven’t renewed yet, this will be your last time to do so to avoid any lapse between contracts.

Applications will be accepted until noon on Friday, March 26, 2010.

If you're interested in joining the energy cooperative and have not previously been a member, download the application form here.

If you are NOT a new participant in the cooperative, download the renewal application form here.
